It's great, isn't it? So easy to download the swatches too and add them to CAP. The only difficult part, at least for me, is deciding on which colours to use. :D
There's a tartan creator site as well. Um, you might call that 'plaid'. I used that last year when I was creating a lot of patterns and sharing them on Carl & Pam's Sims 3 Forum.
There's also another site that looks interesting: http://www.colourlovers.com/ but I've only had a quick look at it and have no idea how you download any creations.
Oh that's fun! The tartan one. Yeah, we call it plaid.
The other site looks cool too. I was just using a pattern creator there, but when I wanted to download, it said I had to register and I didn't feel like it right now.
I'd played a little but also hit that 'register' bit and just couldn't be bothered at the time. May do that.
When I was creating lots of patterns, I was trawling the copyright /royalty free clipart sites and then just making my own in CAP. It's odd though, some patterns I really like at the time I create them and then hate them afterwards. I'm convinced I'm doolally at times.
I do find it enjoyable, creating and colouring the patterns though, lol.
I may play a bit later.
(My mood has been up and down recently, hence my inability to play anything for long, but I'm sure I'm getting the better of this depression now. Hope so at least. Thanks for all your comments and the sharing of your frustrations, helps a lot.)
EDIT: Registered, created, coloured and managed to download a pattern as a .png and it works. Apparently, I also managed to find a colour that no-one else had before and got to name it, lol.

It looks like you can add color if you can save the pattern.
