Excel question

May 27, 2007 11:55

I am trying to export an alphabetical list of words and their abbreviations from Excel to Word. This is fairly straight-forward but I do not know how to remove the Excel table outlay. Does anyone know how, if at all, this is done?

Help much appreciated!

To remove lines in word go to Table and then click on 'Hide Gridlines'. Hope that helps.

Excellent! My table is now looking very pretty in two columns without any table gridlines.
Thanks!

I'm sure there's a "convert table to text" option which will actially turn it into text with tabs rather than hiding the table gridlines.

However, I can't say for sure because I moved to OpenOffice about a year ago and have barely touched Word or Excel since then.
