i remember i read the email aloud in disbelief when i first got it, "students of COLOR?!" my brother's friend was over and he commented that it sounded like an old white guy named it. the campus is so-so diverse. obviously not as diverse as ucla, but i wasnt expecting that. i'd say it's roughly 20% minorities (blacks, hispanics, asians, indians, other). the city, on the other hand, is less diverse than i thought.
i bought a red sox shirt but i'm afraid to sport it yet. i feel like i need to go thru hazing or a rite of passage before i earn my right to don it. then, if i transfer to nyu next year (cross fingers), i'll have to go 180 and sport a yankees shirt.
although everyone knows it's all about the dodgers.
