Ushtabin is a historic village in Nowjeh Mehr Rural District, Jolfa County, East Azerbaijan Province, Iran. KANDOVAN
Kandovan is a historic village in Sahand Rural District in the Central District of Osku County, East Azerbaijan, Iran. It is situated in the foothills of Mount Sahand, near the city of Osku. DULAB
Dulab was the second Kurdish village that we visited. It took us around 90 minutes from the cenre of Sanadaj to get there. Dulab is very picturesque with some streets going under houses but in August it looks completely deserted until around 6pm. NAVAREH
Rather than visiting Palangan, which would have taken three hours each way, we opted for two small Kurdish villages that are relatively close to Sanandaj. Navareh was the first one. A city taxi brought us to a square on the outskirts of Sanandaj, where we took another one that drove us to Navareh in just 40 minutes. It was not difficult to find a ( Read more... ) -
SANANDAJ
Strangely enough, nearly all my Sanandaj photos are portraits. Our stay in Kurdistan was too short and it's a place that I definitely want to revisit.

ZANJAN
Zanjan was our first stop outside of Tehran. Although Zanjan and its corresponding region do not form part of Iranian Azerbaijan, many people that I met there spoke Azeri. The first seven photos were taken in the same small picturesque area to the west of the Bazaar and Hosseiniyeh mosque.
