I'm alive, just hella busy with with back-to-school and gestating. I'll post a real update soon. -

I have been a crappy sleeper my whole adult life, possibly longer. But lately, I'm up every 2-3 hours to pee or eat or for no good reason. I'm exhausted all the time and have been napping in the afternoons, but school starts soon. My new job starts Thursday, and we have students the week after that! The Accidental Sofa
When you have to buy a fridge, washer and dryer in one fell swoop at the scratch-n-dent store, and are putting it on your credit card anyway, a spur-of-the-moment sectional doesn't seem that crazy. 50 Shades of Lawsuit
It's a little disturbing to overhear a teacher and a parent volunteer discuss how many moms asked AT THE SCHOOL BOOK FAIR if they had Fifty Shades of Grey. -
This doesn't mean I want her to wake up at 2:00 am...
Last night I worked some extra hours and got home after G was asleep, and today she fell asleep in the car on the way home from school, so J put her to bed straight away at 5:30. (She does that about once every three weeks or so). I've only spent about 30 minutes of non-car time with her in the past two days. I miss my Schmoo! -

Dinner Conversation Chez Jezafam
Me: James Franco is moving to Houston to go to UH.
J: Who?
Me: You know, that guy. From that stuff. Sigh...um...he was in that movie about that guy who climbed the mountain and cut off his arm.
J: What? He cut off his arm? With what?

Bugs (Ugs)
My library is currently infested with dozens and dozens of millipedes / pillbugs and I am NOT handling it very well at all. They are the same color as my carpet and I'm going a bit mad staring at the carpet, waiting for it to move. -

I had to leave G crying and kicking in her teacher Miss Azma's arms today at French school, but they said they'd call me by noon if she just hasn't stopped crying. I'm really hoping it's like so many other things, and she's happily playing right now. It's quite a drive- over 20 miles each way before I got the EZ Tag, and 15 miles now plus tolls. New Obsession
I've decided we need more art on our walls, and have become obsessed with the following two sites: 20x200 and Thumbtack Press. The second one shows a random selection of prints/paintings, and I spent an hour or so yesterday (at insomnia a.m.) refreshing, then looking at all the artists' works.
