Just setting up to read a book chapter in 18th-c. French history, MLK Day notwithstanding--and now it becomes clear that I'll be taking a holiday of a different kind this morning, to read THREE NEW CHAPTERS of Omega Sutra. Marvelous. Thanks so much for this burst of productivity!

And many thanks for the keen assist - when I try to be *too* productive, it gets frayed around the edges. I'm back on a roll and should be in a position to update in the next day or so. Thanks for welcoming the fresh TOS action.
(Actually, that 18th-c. French history sounds quite delightful.)

You and Sherlock win over the 18th-c. history, though. This is why the paying clients don't get to know about my Sherlock habit . . . well, that and the porn aspect. :-)

Yeah, but think of all they are missing ;-) *shakes head pityingly*

I was so terrified throughout this chapter, having the physical reactions of fight or flight. It also deeply saddened me at times. You are writing the types of conflicts and predicaments that aren't easily solved. There may not be closure.

Sherlock is surrounded by feral and violent ppl, and it was so poignant that as he comes very close to death, he realizes how much he wants the baby. Taking on evil is not covered in What to Expect When You're Expecting.

Meanwhile I cannot imagine John's terror as his bonded and child are somewhere out there, unprotected.

Mystrade is in deep with the awkwardness of not being alone. Lestrade has to hear jealous making things that are only exaggerated by distance and being once removed.

I was so very, very disturbed and so very, very glad to know an author that could take me fully out of my own world and into one of her own making. This work is a triumph and crosses over into literature.

I wish more LJ readers understood that they have a treasure in their midst.
