Holy crap! I'm glad you caught the problems with the car before they got worse -- I've driven a car when the brakes failed, and I do not recommend it. (I didn't get into an accident, fortunately, but sailing through that stop sign was terrifying.)

Hopefully dream #2 is just stress and nothing prophetic. The car feels like enough to worry about.

I'm just glad that car is gone and that I trusted my instincts about it before the brakes completely died. I had intended to take it out on the highway around that time, too. Very happy I didn't.

Urrrgh, I have the brakes failing dream ALL THE DAMN TIME. And I don't drive. Or own a car. Freud would be bored to tears with my textbook anxieties.

The 2nd dream might be a sign that you need to protect yourself from people that are out to take advantage of your good nature or simply not giving you the credit you deserve. No putting all your scarves in one suitcase would also be smart as would putting locks on everything. TRUST NO ONE.

Five cents, please...

That was the only time I've ever had a "brakes failing" dream. Seeing that I died in it, it was REALLY not fun. Your thoughts about dream #2 make a lot of sense!
