Hades playlist for last Sunday

Instead of trying to please other people, try to please yourself and tell the rest to go boil their heads

You never will please everyone, and even when we tried our best at Amatis, and balanced the playlist 50/50 between those that liked electronic music and those who hated it, as well as being really request heavy, one side would always feel they had been short changed in favour of the other. That's why mixed nights for mixed crowds are a thankless task, and speciality nights despite potentially smaller crowds are easier to please.

I have been looking for a dedicated goth DJ for a while now, as Dean and I used to share responsibilities for covering the genre. Hades is supposed to be an eclectic mixture of music and I want it to remain that way. I wish that Anna would get back involved, but we would have to wait for her to be ready to do that in her own time. If you know of anyone that would make a good goth DJ I would appreciate you putting us in touch.

the Beercart is in the business of making money and alienatting the clietel isn't going to do that

Hades has actually seen significantly increasing numbers of people over the last 6 months! Was talking to one girl last time, who said that the last time she'd been was early last year, and there was just a handful of people so she didn't go back.

The bar takings have also been steadily increasing along with the numbers, so I'm not sure why the management would want to cancel the night. I know there was threat of that a while back...
