Why didn't Snape's portrait appear in the Headmaster's office? When Harry, Ron, and Hermione go to the office and Harry talks to Dumbeldore's portrait, there was no mentioning of a portrait for Snape. He was appointed Headmaster of Hogwarts, shouldn't his portrait be there also now that he was dead like Dumbledore's when he died in HBP?

Well, firstly, let's hope that there was a portrait of him somewhere to begin with. Don't you have to have your portrait painted first before they can move from one to another? (When they get it hung, I'd like a copy.)

Good for you! I hope it is answered too.

But he 'had' just died, that very day, didn't he? .... hmmmm but Dumbledore's portrait showed up that night, the night he was killed.

Good question, Ulol. I just figured that it showed up later on, as one of the more honored Headmasters.
