Thank you! The conversations certainly did get convoluted! Whenever I let these two talk to each other it's like some kind of maze.

*snerks* Fuji is just wonderfully evil that way.

An interesting pair with an interesting development and an interesting structure. Also, great batering between them.
Thanks for sharing your work!

As much as I love them both, I've found that in my worlds, Fuji and Yukimura are often the two who end up unhappy, out of the loop or just not growing into the events that unfold around them.
Reading this was a lovely take on how things /can/ change for them, how they themselves can change, and how they can come out content and balanced at the end of it.
I enjoyed this very much, and it's given me a new look at a pairing which I hadn't given enough consideration before. ^__^

Glad you enjoyed it! I'm all for making happy endings, and these two make me want to give them one, very much. They have to be dragged through a lot of development, though, that's for sure.

Er, wow. That's pretty much all I can say to this. *_*

Loved the way you showed the passage of time. Loved the way their relationship developed, the intense/philosophic nature of their conversations, and just this entire post-canon universe that you've constructed. I've always pegged Yukimura and Tezuka as the two characters from the series that would move on and go pro, so the line about Tezuka entering the Australian Open -- it had me smiling like mad. ^_^

It was their second oldest game, the only one they both still played

This line near the end made my heart ache for no logical reason. Wonderful, just wonderful. ♥

*hearts* Thank you, I'm glad you enjoyed it!

*chuckles* Figuring out the timeline, especially, was a bit of a pain, and I was afraid some of the lapses would be too uneven. It's great to hear that worked out after all.

If I started purring any louder, I'd tip my glass over. That was sooooo good.

Just beautiful. And SO what I needed today. ♥ ♥ ♥
