How is it that I end up watching Peter and Svetlana's kid while they stay together with my family in Spain? Rasputina is my step-daughter and I love her, but I can't help but feel it's a little off!
I can take Rasputina and the babies for a while after hours to give you a break, Mum. It's all good. I can see how much you have to deal with at the moment.
Oh no...Honey, that wasn't my point at all. I'm actually not feeling stressed out about that, which pleases me. Not that I'm not going to let you take them if you want, but it's not necessary.
I just feel like I'm playing nanny for my husband and his mistress.
Fair enough. Well, you know I like to help out anyway, I love my little siblings. But it's good to know you're not stressed.
Mmm... yeah, I get that. I'm sure if Dad realised that was how you'd feel, he would have gone about this a different way. Or at least done more to make sure you didn't feel like that while he was here. The best thing I can think of is just to tell him that. That's usually the way with him, after all.
Peter and Svetlana will probably be back soon. Amaris hasn't made any rumblings since we got here, and I haven't been able to find hide nor hair of her. I'm going to try for a little longer, though. I still have a few of Ryn's tricks left up my sleeve.
I'm sorry this all landed on you though, Aly. I understand that it's huge, and I promise I'll make it up to you when I get back.
Please don't get meathooked, David SeveralSpanishMiddleNames Montgomery.
No, it's not...look, I love the kids. I'm having a wonderful time with them. Little William is having a ball with his cousins. That's not the issue. It's feeling like I'm less important than...
Believe me, I make it my business to avoid doing just that.
Ah, excellent. I'm glad he's happy, and that you're having fun with all of them. That's very good to know.
I understand. This journey was never about Svetlana, though. She just happens to be good muscle. And a hell of a lot more trustworthy than Felicity and Sera...
Well, I've got a bit of experience with babies myself. I could come over and lend a hand, too. I think me and Tasha'd make a pretty good accounting of ourselves together.
I'm sure there's nothin' off with Peter and Svetlana, babe. He's a prince among men, and you're his princess. That's all there is to it.

I feel so petty and ridiculous. Svetlana is my friend.

He's perfect, David. Absolutely perfect.
I know it wasn't. And you're right, but...argh.
