I've been looking at some gorgeous Anais's today on various japanese websites, now I've always been a fan of Anais.. but I've never been quite sure which character of mine she could possibly be. She tended to see-saw between two characters in my mind but never settle with either. Well today I had a bit of an epiphany ( Read more... )

Well... it's not exactly the same, but my old Charlotte used to be an MSD Mika. I wanted her older though, and I sold her and got an F-09 SD girl to be my new Charlotte. It seems to work better for her personality.

That sounds like a very interesting concept. :D Just imagine having a younger version of yourself prancing around! This has possibilites of being very good or very bad at the same time. *lol*

Yes, I think the strangest thing would be referring to them by the same name.. coming home and saying "Hi Charlotte!, Hi Charlotte!"

Or it could be: "Hi Charlottes!" XDD It'll put a new meaning to deja vu. Hehe...

I've never heard of anyone having two dolls at the same time share the same character at different ages, but I do know that people have their dolls "grow up" and usually sell the younger version. I got my MSD F-09 boy, because the owner had decided that she wanted his incarnation to appear older.

Yes I've heard of this happening too, it seems to be quite common for peoples dolls to grow up.

I think it's a good idea. You could do all kinds of stories based on different stages of the character's life, or one's based on a younger personality coming back to "haunt" the older one.

We had been considering it for one of our dolls, but we ended up switching them around, rather.

Thank you for the ideas! Very interesting. It seems a few people have considered it but none have done it yet. How did you find the experience of switching your doll for an older one?

Actually, we ended up selling dolls in favor of getting new characters.

I do have a Nara and an Adel, with the Adel being sort of like a grumpy fairy version of the Nara. But they have more like a sister relationship.

I love seeing pictures of the two molds together, they are so similar and yet unique.
