hi,
i have plans to copy a friend in pgh and use junkyard radiators as garden edge/retaining walls/terracing, and it seems possible to make countertops/floors with portland cement and beer bottles and have it come out something like: http://www.counterproduction.com. Also think i can make solar water heaters from junked windows and even use the hot water for radiant floor heat which only needs to be heated to about 90-104F, whereas radiator water needs to be like 200F for convection to work. Clear energy savings even if you just use electric or nat gas and not solr. but 90f is pretty easy to get with passive solar.

Just some more reuse options as you anticipate domestic bliss. :-)
