Yeah, I've been quiet for awhile. I have no good excuse.

I like the pencils of the first drawing. Did you decide to change the background completely when you were inking (digitally I'm guessing?) in the background proper?

The perspective for L kills me dead.

Yeah. I originally wanted to do a more "Alice in Wonderland"esque look for that one, but it just wasn't working, so I switched to this one.

My ruler got a workout with the L picture. :P

Oh gawd, I want a giant poster of the first one.
It ties in so perfectly with my current BPAL obsession too.. xD

edit: Urgh, took a look at your store. Shouldn't have. So many wants, so little money. ;_;

re-edit: I finally got what you meant with 'her dress doesn't make much sense'. I just assumed it was stiff fabric like tulle underneath that makes it keep its shape like that. I LOVE that dress. I love that image. ;_;

Maybe next time you visit the US I can give some of my work to you in person. ^^

If I don't make people's stomachs rumble with the colored version of that one, I'll have made a serious error. :P

Ohhh gawd Julia you are such a treasure and a talent. All these images are wonderful but the first one is really love. Will that image be available on your website to buy?

And would you mind me posting that first picture at my LJ. I promise I will sing your praises!! Let me know . . . Kat

PS - I'd like to post atleast two more of your images at my LJ from earlier posts. I will link everyone to your website. I will await your reply. Thanks so MUCH! ^____^

*nodnod* Sure, post any ones you'd like that aren't porny. :)

That first one is already available to buy - I love the cart program on my website - it makes adding everything so easy...

And thank you for the compliments. A lot. I've been a bit touchy since I woke up this morning. After I put a lot of effort into that first picture, there's not much response to it anywhere, and I was about to go off into a "only fanart gets recognition" tirade. I feel a little better now. ^^

That first piece is incredible. I think people kind of lock onto the familiar, which is why fan-art always get an immediate response as it's easier to go "Alucard! Squeeee!" or whatever than to really look at the details of something and absorb it.

I keep going back to the piece and catching something else - the fact that's wearing a pocketwatch and has the watch fob over his sword and pistol belts just caught my eye.

Don't let 'em get you down - it's a brilliant piece of work, even if his mirace cure isn't going to actually stabilize my humors.

I'm going to work on the L picture next. I guess we'll see how popular that one is when it gets put up. :/ I guess I can't fight against it.

As always, I'm stunned. The detail you've put into these is astounding.

How long did it take you to colorize the "Doctor Oh" piece?

Hmm... I put a lot longer into the Dr. Oh piece than I have most of my other recent ones. At least 4-5 days of work.
