Wow...your timeline brings back, like, a lot of memories. And I hope this doesn't come off as creepy or weird, but...okay, here goes.
I've been following your art since about 2000 (that makes me feel really old). I don't even remember where I discovered it, but I remember how nostalgic I got over your The Last Unicorn sketches, and how I went out to find Vampire Hunter D: Bloodlust after your moving recollection of the love story it focussed on. As a writer, I found the different moods of your art - the grimness, the soft textures, the fanciful moods in contrast with your darker pieces - inspiring. Honestly.
Thanks for sticking around. Your work is spectacular.
I find it amazing that there are people who've been following my work online for the better part of a decade or even longer... some on my livejournal. I hope my work continues to be an inspiration.
That's really awesome you put out your art on a timeline. I'd never be able to scrounge up the courage to do something like that, I'm too horrified of my older stuff. ;)
wow nice job with the timeline. I used to love dragonriders of pern also altough these days I barely remember the books I read before. But i remember wanting to play pipes ;P anime boston sounds scary, 6 hours? were people eating and sleeping in the line?
Eating? Definitely. Sleeping... only a few that I saw. Every once in awhile the line would move just enough that you'd have to wake up.
I remember loving the Dragonriders of Pern up until I realized how restrictive the author was. I didn't want to be so constrained in any world I was going to participate in, so I left. It also made me determined to not be like that when I had my own stories published.
