No more tonsils, yay!

Dec 23, 2009 10:08

Continuing my trend of removing optional body parts this year, I had my tonsils taken out yesterday morning. I was much too groggy to say anything after getting home, but I'm doing okay now, except for the parts about being completely mute and unable to eat anything except thinned out ice cream, ice water, and apple juice.

Now you'll just have to deal with Mark snoring, hehehe. Happy for you! Take really good care of your immune system now; tonsils, however obnoxious they were for you before, did do (or were supposed to) a lot of infection blockage. Lots and lots of vitamin C, miss! :D

Apparently a lot of my constant, low-grade illness and lethargy was due to the chronic tonsillitis, so it should get better, just not having to fight that. I always take my multi-vitamins, though, or at least I will once I can swallow stuff again. :P

So can we expect a whirlwind of activity from you now? Are we gonna see you racing down the street, a little ball of energy? XD

At the very least, I'm sure you'll become even more positive about things, now that one of your biggest concerns is gone. :3

Well, I'm already back to drawing again - something I've been too exhausted to do for awhile, and this is the day after getting some organs yanked out. :P

Thankee!

I'm glad it helped so much. I had lots of sore throats when young, but never had tonsils out. For about a month on/off my throat's been bothering me though, and hopefully it's just 'sick', as I can't afford anything else really.

I AM very glad for you though, and I hope things continue to get better!

I only sometimes had sore throats when I was young. It wasn't until I was a teenager that it got really bad. Then they swelled up, and never went down, leading to many, many years of misery. -_-

Thank you, and I hope you feel better soon!
