Apr 13, 2010 15:13

Announcement One
Simple and to the point... Otakon - I'm going to be in the dealer's room this year.

Announcement Two
Much more convoluted this time... Ohayocon. Some of you might remember this journal entry from a little over a year ago. I'm happy to say that I've received an official apology from Ohayocon. I guess I will be returning for 2011, ( Read more... )

But...isn't Kazekage the one of Gaara with the sheet over his groin? The Jesus Gaara? If they want you to take that one down, I'll raeg for you. I love that one.

Wait. They probably think he's underage or someshit, right? :/

Yeah, Jesus Gaara. You can't see a damned thing. It's true that what I was told was that hotel staff didn't like it, but it didn't break any of the rules, and I took it down right away when asked.

Wooow... even with the apology, I think my desire to ever go to Ohayocon has been cut down by 50%. You did not deserve the poor treatment those Artist Alley heads gave you, and I'm glad someone on staff has acknowledged it (a year later... but better late than never).

I'm wary of returning, but really, there aren't many conventions during that time of the year. :/

I kinda got the 'I'm only sorry because I don't want to lose your business' type of sincerity from this letter. On the bright side, at-least the guy was willing to have heads roll for your mis-treatment! <3

They always have waiting lists for their artist alley, so I doubt it's a "not wanting to lose business" sort of thing. The way I hear it, behind the scenes with staff at most of the larger conventions is a huge, connected clusterfuck.

I guess at this point we're lucky Otakon has an artist alley at all.
