check expedia or orbitz for rental car prices, there are some great deals going on now if you can swing it.

I still haven't lost hope. Renting a vehicle would be $600-$700, since we need cargo room, and it's New Jersey to Illinois and back again. :/

I don't think it'll be that much, I'd look into getting a smallish suv like a kia rondo which has TONS of cargo room, we managed to get all of my crap (that usually fills our Jeep Grande Cherokee) into it with room to spare.

Most rental places offer unlimited miles, I think last time we rented to drive from IL to OH it was only about 178.00 from Thurs. - Mon. from Enterprise.

:/ Trust me, I checked Enterprise, Hertz, Budget, even UHaul (which has an abysmal rate per mile). We also would need it from Wednesday to Tuesday.
