At the age I was when Dunblane and Columbine happened, they were distant events that took years to sink an impression into my worldview. It seems like it can happen in any developed country; the first comparable killing over several rural villages I thought of was the Uireyeong massacre in Korea. There are fewer guns in England than America, but there's still plenty of violent or unhappy people.
