Case Thirteen

[Motoko has since broken out of her room, found the 24th floor to be inaccessible, and went to find something to do in order to better clear her mind and think about... well, everything. So she found herself floating on her back in one of the ship's swimming pools. Her Sphere floats by her head as she thinks hard, remembering and reviewing ( Read more... )

reflecting, lost in thought, sleepless plot, what do you mean it's not fanservice?, it's plotting time

[What's what? Ammy lifts her head and makes a confused sound at the sphere.]

[looks over at her Sphere but makes no motion to move from her current position]

I'm trying to think of something I might have missed. Some clue from when we were on Eos or prior to the black hole's appearance now that might help turn this sorry situation around.

And you think better in the water? [These children are crazy. Ammy doesn't feel like moving, though. So she'll stay where she is, her head resting on her arm.]

Good luck.

As strange as it sounds, swimming and scuba diving help me unwind and think a little more clearly.

[up to almost three days now without sleep, Oliver is not looking well at all, weary with tousled hair and bags under his eyes] Motoko? Do you have any ideas?

Not at the moment. There are some slight similarities I picked up on, but nothing I can use to make a solid connection. It doesn't help I wasn't around the first time the ship went through a black hole either, or I'd have more data to compare, as well as a similar setting.

I was here. What do you need to know?

Anything similar to what is going on now or has happened, whether it was on Eos or here. It would include any ship malfunctions, the circumstances of how Ganymede died, and anything else that happened.

I think I'm missing a piece of the puzzle that might connect between all three times leading up to the black hole. I have a feeling that if myself, or anyone, can figure it out, we'll be able to turn the tables before it's too late.

You mean the ship's passed through this black hole before?

[orz, hi Motoko, you're stuck with a newbie.]

Yeah. I was around for the second one, but I wasn't here when it went through the first time.
