[Motoko's sphere turns on as she heads down several hallways on level twelve, ending up in the library. She walks through several bookshelves before plucking out a volume and carrying it around with her as she studies the titles of various others, occasionally picking one out here and there. She doesn't trust the information she can get from them,

[as observant as he is about people, Oliver can't help noticing something seems just the slightest bit off] Motoko? Did you go home?

[looks up at her sphere and recognizes Oliver right off]

I was returned home for about a year.

Wow. I don't know if anybody's already told you, but...well, for me at least, we only just went through the black hole.

No one's told me, but that's the last thing I remember from before I woke up back home.

[notices she looks different, but isn't going to say anything just yet]

Interestingly enough, I do.

I take it that it's not normal to remember.

No, it's not. We didn't remember the black hole before this last one until we were within range of it. We should count ourselves fortunate since we can anticipate what might be coming our way.
