Hello, there! It's good to see a new face not trapped on that awful ship.

I'm afraid this isn't much of a joke, though. Er, or if it is, the novelty has surely been worn out, by now.

People were on that wreck?

[Looks over at it for a moment in mild surprise and turns back looking serious.]

That's just great. Is there anything you can tell me about what's going on?

[a nod] A good number of them, yes.

Ah, well, we've been stranded on a planet called Eos - but not to worry, I think help is on the way!

I believe the captain called it Eos. Before they found him dead, at any rate.

Then I suppose this is supposed to be a different universe than the one I'm familiar with. I've never heard of a planet, dwarf or otherwise, named Eos.

It wouldn't do any good to lose my head over the situation, but I'm still not happy about ending up on some foreign planet, let alone one that can support human life.

Lot of new faces recently.

Mostly, the situation is that this is an alien planet and we've been stuck here since we crash-landed.

A crash-landing would explain why the captain died, unless he was dead before impact. Were there any other casualties to report on?

Not that I'm aware of, but --

[Something has obviously just occurred to him.] ... Now that I think about it, if the crew died along with him, I never saw anyone find any bodies. Unless...

Unless what? Did the crew jump ship before the crash? Or perhaps they're still trapped on board elsewhere.
