THE CHARACTER
Name: Aigis
Series: Persona 3
Age: 10 (from being built); physically, approximately 17-19.
Timeline: During the (first) December Full Moon.

History: And the one who has given me this new purpose is... me.

(This needs to be thrown in, but I'm not really sure where to have it, so let's just have it here.) Aigis is an android, albeit one that is particularly advanced. Aigis, as an entity, is designed as a weapon herself, to defeat the Shadows that roam around Tartarus. Her appearance as a human is not random and is chosen for a reason. This is simply due to the fact that humans (and living beings) are meant to and are capable of wielding personas - giving a machine the image of a human will come to associate itself as a human, giving her a sense of self, thus giving the persona more potency. If Aigis was made into say, a tank, the Persona function wouldn't work: tanks are not meant to summon personas.

As Aigis is an android, she can be rather robotic in her movements and her voice can be considered to be monotone, even if slight emotion is present (though this does improve over time).

Personality: Minato, Minato, Minato. To sum up Aigis' resolutions and loyalties, it all lies around Minato. Though at first, she cannot remember why being by him is a necessity to her, she is determined to always protect him and be by his side. The ultimate reason for this is the her actions regarding him ten years prior to the start of the game - so, she feels guilt. This is an example of how humane Aigis becomes; she feels guilty, so she resolves to always protect him and make sure he lives. She took away an innocent child's life and caused him to get wrapped up in problems ever since, which she understands. Her beliefs are also very important to her - she never waivers from what she believes to be right and what others have taught her about the world and she has come to a conclusion about.

Loyalty is another defining feature of Aigis, as seen from Minato. When first assigned to S.E.E.S, she follows them as that is her orders; but as she grows close to them and they develop bonds between one another. She would never willingly betray them or let them down, and would always be there to their rescue. The one time she is reprogrammed to go against them, she breaks free of those bonds and does what she feels is right; saving her friends. She is unlikely to do 'as told' by others due to her time with S.E.E.S; she will question the new person's integrity first by comparison.

A typical feature of Aigis is that she cares about others more than she does herself. Their happiness and their well being is more important than her own. Unless provoked, she tends to be kindhearted and innocent, as she knows little about the world around her. She does not have any prejudices and treats everyone equally, on the same level; on a similar note, she doesn't tend to spot prejudices against her being a robot. This is a fact that doesn't tend to bother her. Talking to others, particularly her friends, is the way she learns and continues to do so. Fighting, however, is a different story. That's what she was built for, so it's one thing that comes completely naturally. As such, she can doubt herself when she loses or cannot fufill what she was made for - to her, it makes her a failure.

When she likes you, Aigis is usually calm and questioning about the human world. To her friends, she'd go to the ends of the earth to protect them. When she doesn't, however, this dramatically changes - she makes it very well known, as she's immediately on the defensive. Which, as she's a weapon, isn't the smartest idea for you to keep pushing her, as those death glares will jump straight to a gun in the face. If it comes to it, she will fight to the death.

To begin with, Aigis does indeed act like what she is: a robot, with a difference engine. At first, to her, the world and its problems are black and white and there is no room for anything else inbetween. She is aware of the fact she is a robot, and never claims to be anything but, and never offers help in situations she holds no footholding in - it is impossible for her to comfort another when she does not understand the grief they are feeling (though perhaps, this is a form of kindness. Perhaps not). Over time, however, seeing her friends unhappy becomes one of the hardest things for Aigis to see. Their decision to fight despite the fact it's nigh impossible for them to win is completely illogical to her. She can, and she will, get upset.

The human heart, and its complexities through emotions, are first very confusing to Aigis. As she learns, however, she opens up a path to her own emotions and it becomes far more easier for her to pass as a human. Having a purpose becomes particularly important to Aigis - at first, she accepts her purpose as simply being a weapon and to protect Minato, and never questions otherwise, taking any purpose given her way. But when she does begin to question, she becomes truly human.

Abilities: When it comes to fighting, Aigis is fast, her jumps are high, and her balance is excellent to say the least. Her attacks are also particularly precise (as they are calculated). Even though, logically, she would be able to quickly think her way out of situations, this is not always the case - as she becomes more human and gains more understanding of emotions and everyone around her, she is more inclined to think, and more inclined to have emotions cloud her judgement - or, on the flipside, make her more powerful.

Aigis' abilities are typically attack based, designed to strike and hit an enemy physically and make them fall into submission. She has no elemental based skills or any attack magic skills to speak of, though she does have a weakness towards lightning based spells (which, is rather predictable: she is, afterall, a machine). Due to the fact she is made of battle resistant compounds, she is particularly strong to general attacks - hitting her with your sword minus any abilities of your own is not really going to do you any good.

Whilst not having attack based magic, she can provide support and assistance to herself and her allies. This comes in the form of adding buffs (such as, increasing attack, increasing hit/evasion, and so forth), canceling buffs/debuffs to the enemy or her party, and general debuffing against her foes.

Aigis is capable of using a summon - in this case, her persona, Palladion, to help assist and attack in battle. By using Palladion she can access more powerful abilities to strike a target down, and these attacks are significantly more powerful than her normal ones.

She also has the option to enter Orgia Mode, which increases her capabilities and makes her overall much more powerful for a short space of time, as the limiters on her output are turned off. However, this eventually results in overheating, so after use she becomes immobile and particularly vulnerable to attack.

Whilst not necessary a fighting related ability, Aigis can understand animals. In her world, a dog known as Koromaru lives at the dorm and is capable of summoning a persona. Aigis can understand his "speech", which she relays back to the other members.

Weapon: Aigis' weapon of choice is a gun, which is designed to be attached to her arms. This can either be just a general bullet based gun or a rocket launcher, either works. The accuracy of said gun is average, as is its general attack power. Her current weapon is known as Kiss of Athena; she uses rounds fired from both her hands.

Preferred faction: Cosmos.

THE MANNEQUIN
Title: Living Safeguard
Color: #C6AC86

THE WORLD
Name of Stage: Thebel Block, Tartarus
Image: Here, Here.
Effect(s): The power of summons is significantly increased. Advanced abilities - in other words, ones that have a name, and are not simply hacking the other character with the weapon of choice - have their power increased by 20%. The stage (in other words, the floor of Tartarus) randomly changes - upon reaching the edge of the stage where stairs are visible the floor will consequently change. This is your interest: fight on one floor too long, and the sound of rattling chains approaches... and your HP starts depleting rapidly. The only choice here is to run to the next floor.
