Tabletop Role-playing, before computers and consoles. They created these games, one could play with friends. You get them together, around a table, make characters and pretend to be those characters and have adventures with those characters. The granddaddy of such games is Dungeons and Dragons, albeit its not really a lot in common with what I do ( ... )

So do you guys make these stuff up as you go along? How long does this game take? Do you walk around?

Well the rules we use are not made up as we go along, but often the actions and choices made are (some people write long adventures/stories to "run", other "wing it" and make it up completely as they go along, I'm somewhere in the middle. Gaming time varies from game to game, most usually last several hours 3+ and are run over the course of weeks or months to form long "campaigns" with character development. (One game I run has a character pregnant by another character, in a universe of superheroes, they fell in love during play, but are having issues because of the pregnancy, being heroes, etc. )

Not much walking around, its why its called "Tabletop" (some games even use miniature figurines to represent your heroes, but we don't do that..)
