Well, I guess Super 8 is NOT related to Cloverfield, and that was just a sort of publicity generating stunt. And I'll be damned if it didn't work on me. However, it still does involve a monster, Area 51 and "home footage." Also, J.J. Abrams is writing and directing it, and the few things he's actually directed have certainly been done well, so

eh. me not so much anymore. but he did do a good job with star trek.

Yeah, I'm kinda basing him on Star Trek and the pilot episode of Lost, both of which were very fun and showed a lot of promise, if nothing else.

I just watched the trailer - tag line: Next Summer... IT Arrives. Ha! Good.
