Ghost had decided that morning, emerging from his newly finished hut, that it was a perfect day for swimming. Really, nearly everyday on the island was the perfect day, but this one was as good as any

Arthur smiled when he saw Ghost. "Morning." And indeed it was going to be a lovely day for swimming, or at least it seemed to Arthur. He gathered up a few things.
"You can come in and check it out if you want. How far is the waterfalls?" He didn't mind walking, but it was always best to have a general idea of things. He also thought that maybe it wouldn't hurt to grab some fruit along the way since he had slept in and hadn't made it to the compound yet this morning.
"It's a pretty good hike," he said, moving inside to hover near the doorway, "Not too bad though. Nothing 'round here's ever too far a walk."
The hut was neat and sparse, a few modest possessions organized around the living space, the sleeping pallet neatly made. Ghost's own looked like a whirlwind of things. Clothes he'd picked up from the compound. Flowers and plants he'd gathered from various parts of the island. The few things he'd brought with him arranged in a pattern only Ghost could understand. The mess, he figured, reminded him of home. The house on Burnt Church Road always had that cozy 'lived in' feel, he liked to think.
"I hope I didn't come to early," he added after a moment, tugging a strand of pale hair over his eyes.
He smiled. "Not really. I didn't feel like heading up to the Compound." Well actually he had allowed himself to sleep in, but he decided not to mention that.
Arthur had always like order, at least in the sense that it was good for him to feel somewhat in control of his environment, and there wasn't really that much to do here so keeping things neat came easy really.
"Well I don't think a little excercise will hurt." Besides the walk would probably feel good, and swimming after the walk would feel even better. Arthur didn't mind his excitement showing as he picked up the few things he had gathered. "Whenever you're ready." He still planned to grab some fruit along the way just in case.
Laughing softly, Ghost nodded before turning around and ducking out the door. "So, how you been?" Ghost asked, even if it had only been a few day since he'd seen the other man, "You still embracing island life?"
He made his way along the path, falling into step with Arthur, his sneakers crunching softly on the coarse sand.
