So, I wrote a little letter to my boys. Which was a lot more about me saying goodbye to the season and being generally emotinal. It's cleansing for me, deal with the plebiness.

Dear Rangers, )

blah blah blah.....

all kidding aside, i had no idea the rangers were going to have as brilliant a season as they've had. i can't stand buck showalter, and didn't thnk this bunch had a prayer. they switched with the mariners, as i thought seattle was going to be better than texas when the season began. boy was i and everyone else who thought likewise wrong.

they did battle, and they have a heck of a closer, even if he did take a shit on the mound last night! doug brocail and frank francisco are assholes btw. some a's fans are assholes too though, but the players need to set better examples.

Because you've met Frankie and Brocail personally? Cool. Get me a signature?

Anyway. Yeah, I knew we were better than people thought. I just didn't expect our young guys to get this good this quickly. Next year with fewer than 17 different starters (let's hope) we should be way up there.

i would be saying the same thing if an a or giant went to an opposing stadium and did what they did. the players need to have thicker skin. and you shouldn't be so defensive.

And I'm not getting into this argument right now. ^_^ I don't think this was an appropriate place to bring it up. I have posts about it elsewhere if you want my opinion about how no one knows what happened but the people involved and all that.

Look, it may have cost us the season, Frankie might be deported. What more do you want?

I won't miss Steve Stone. galilei October 1 2004, 18:51:52 UTC
Oh, I feel for you. I was really pulling for your boys. I know that you weren't pulling for mine, but I hope you don't mind if I insert a little sobbing over my own similar situation.

I sat at the game on Wednesday, and listened to the game yesterday and thought, I AM GOING TO MISS THEM SO MUCH. I AM GOING TO MISS PAT HUGHES AND RON SANTO SO MUCH. I LOVE THEM ALL SO SO SO MUCH.

I mean, knowing that Monday, I will wake up and they will have all have packed up and left my little world for the next six months -- Coco pointed that she was reading the Cubs-Reds Game Chatter and when the game went into extra innings (again), Larry Bowa posted, "If the Cubs play long enough, the season will never end and you’ll never be eliminated from the playoffs." And maybe he was snarking -- he probably was -- but the thought of it made me cry.

But your guys did great this year. They should be proud. Best of luck next year.
