Hey, welcome to my LJ. Before we become ~lj friends, there's a few things you should know about me.
HEALTH;
I'm moody and erratic and frequently lapse into suicidal-depressive episodes. I don't do it intentionally, I'm actually diagnosed with rapid-cycling bipolar disorder II (it means that I suffer hypo manic episodes and depressive episodes as well as mixed states), borderline personality disorder. My moods cycle rapidly (hence, rapid-cycling) and can shift anywhere between a few minutes, to a few hours, to a few days. How long each episode lasts, I can never predict. Other diagnoses: PTSD, GAD (generalized anxiety disorder), agoraphobia and social anxiety. I'm considered treatment resistant and at the moment, am kept on konopin to combat anxiety and seroquel for sleep disturbance (insomnia) - nothing has yet to work for depression without making me manic as well.
As treatment, I am currently taking a high dose of seroquel (quetiapine) and klonopin and will be returning to psychiatric treatment (outpatient). I mention this now because I blog about it quite frequently. I sometimes can write the most upsetting things when I'm down, or the most crazed and fanatic things when I'm up. It can be unsettling to people who don't understand, but if you have any questions ever feel free to ask, I won't be offended at all. It's therapeutic to write about. I also suffer from crippling anxiety, and an undiagnosed GI condition (formerly peptic ulcers, but it seems to have changed). I get a bit TMI about the GI problems but I put those under a cut.
A semi-touchy subject, is my eating disorder. I've been diagnosed as anoretic (restrictive-type) with binge episodes, and have been attempting to get into in-patient. I tend to blog about it and my mental health more at Curtained@WP rather than here,t hough.
LOVES;
You'll read a lot about World of Warcraft, DSLR photography and fandom alongside the private posts. The 'long-term' fandoms/obsessions center around Russell Brand, Mötley Crüe, Nikki Sixx, SIXX:A.M, TVD (Damon/Elena | Damon/Stefan), Robert Downey Jr, Mighty Boosh (Noelian) and mixed-media journaling. I'm in love with Moleskines and cut-and-paste. I love graphic design and web design and run a multitude of half-finished websites and forums.
I'm addicted to my iPhone 4S (white), iPhoneography, Instagr.am, Twitter, Tumblr and ONTD. Iced capps/peach mango smoothies and frozen raspberry lemonades from Tim Hortons as well as Coke Zero and diet Coke/Pepsi are my bread and butter. My sense of humor is a mix of Russell Brand meets Denis Leary. I'm homoerotic asexual and in a relationship with an amazing girl - almost 3 years, going strong. and single. I'm anti homophobia, anti racism, anti hate. I stand up for my friends and give them the benefit of the doubt - even if they're wrong. I value trust and honesty above all else.
