Hi there - just stumbled on your journal. It looks very interesting, I actually have afriend with the same diagnosis as you. I myself am diagnosed with 'Acute Unspecified Psychosis'.... For 5 years I was misdiagnosed with Schizophrenia Simplex. So.... I thought it would be really nice to talk to someone who knows about mental illness and such.
By the way I'm a Dane, just turned 28.....
I hope you'll friend me, cuz I am friending you for sure. Always looking for good conversations and input.

Hey -

I actually only knew one other person with bipolar disorder, and we don't talk much anymore - so it surprises me to actually find someone who is mentally ill and talks about it; or, is at least open about it !

The misdiagnosed me as schizo, despite none of my symptoms matching it at all. Silly doctors.

I'm Mis - as I'm sure you know XD Will add back, though I don't post a lot anymore. I'm a bit lazy and either on IM, Tumblr or gaming most times, haha.

I am totally open about mental illness, I even do 'lectures' on it sometimes whenever I'm hired. I'm all for breaking the taboo around it....

I blog about it publicly on Tumblr but I recently deleted most posts. I'm thinking, any posts I write here about it, I may post there, or maybe on Dreamwidth so I can kind of let people see what it's like. Everyone assumes it is how Hollywood puts it out there (Stephen Fry, Britney Spears, Russell Brand, Amy Whinerhouse... etc).

Doctors, I've learned, are shite with mental illness, until you find one that specializes in certain types of mental disorders that is.
