...Uh.

It's too much to hope for a fireworks show, right? Most people here aren't from America, anyway. Could make a bonfire, but... [It's not the SAAAAAAME also it'd take too much work for something he doesn't have enough patience to enjoy.

Sigh. And then gradually, quiet whistling picks up the tune of "You're a Grand Old Flag". He'll be ( Read more... )

[Fireworks? America? That can only mean one thing ... except she only knows that America exists and has holidays, and that fireworks are used in festivities :|;]

... Is today an American holiday?

Yeah! Independence Day. When the founding fathers signed off on the Declaration of Independence and all that. [...Johnny is not that great at explaining things. :|b Although he will answer questions.]

Mii ... I don't know very much about America, but if it's called "Independence Day", it must be very important.

Yeah, it is. It's celebrating America breaking away from England--another country--and setting up its own government. So it's a pretty big deal. Where you from?

You can probably find fireworks in one of the shops-- at the very least some sparklers or something. I imagine if you get enough of them together and have 'em in the village people will show up.

Really? I didn't think they'd put sparklers in the shops...but it wouldn't hurt to check. Would you wanna join?

Oh yeah. I'd completely forgotten that today was the 4th of July.

Guess it's easy to forget when no one's getting ready for it.

That's true. I'm starting to miss all the fuss, like shopping for fireworks, and the cookouts.

Wouldn't say no to another barbecue. I'd have to get someone besides me to cook, though.

...You like that word, don't you? But yeah, can never go wrong with fireworks.

As long as you're careful, of course. [Clearly, this is just an afterthought.]

lim(caution) is overbearing. Expression is half the purpose. American Revolution = radian's attempt as a bastion of free thought.

Incomplete equation for an inadequate result, still.

...I think I got half of that. [Or maybe a third.]

Aha...It's a holiday back home. Fourth of July celebrates America becoming its own country and all that.

It's a great country. New York's the best--it's one of the states.
