I don't know why people are so surprised that Dumbledore is gay. Wasn't this made obvious by all of the gay sex in the books? Every other page was gay this, gay that.
"A fan asked if Albus Dumbledore would find love some day, to which Rowling replied:
'Dumbledore is gay.'" I'm figuring it's just the way that was written. "No, I'm sorry, he can't fall in love: he's gay, see?"
I'm trying to see if I should think about this, but... can't whip up the energy. ********** Are you working at all on nanowrimo? I've got to sit down and think of a plot (I've thought about a plot in which the put-upon secretary of a stupid local literary festival murders the festival's passive aggressive president, but what would I do for the next 100 pages?).
I wonder if the fan asked her a differently worded question because, I agree, that is a rather odd answer. Or maybe she has Tourett's Syndrome and this is just the first time we've seen evidence of it.
I've decided not to bother with NaNo this year, I'm afraid. The quality of my NaNo writing has gone downhill with each year, and I just don't feel like doing it again. I have been much more pleased with the writing I have done outside of NaNo, though, and I can thank NaNo for giving me the courage to write more.
I am, however, thinking about re-writing my first NaNo novel as a much shorter, but tighter novella. We'll see...

Yes, it is. I only saw your comment b/c I checked back at an earlier post of my own, so I didn't get notification. Man! Glad that I got this info, or I would have asked your for the 4th time sometime soon.
I do have to read your first novel, because you were much happier with that. After November, I hope.
She also claimed last week that much of the material in the books was based on Christian mythology, which came as a surprise to me, not being Christian. I was about to forward the article where she says this to a friend of mine who stopped reading the books when she became a born-again, but I figure the gay thing will just turn her off again. Can't win with those people...

"One approach has been to train bands of larger, more ferocious langur monkeys to go after the smaller groups of Rhesus macaques."
What could possibly go wrong?
