Cory Doctorow of Boing Boing fame just posted some pictures of a trip to Disney World in Florida, including some of the Carousel of Progress ride. I have recurring nightmares involving that ride.

Oh my dear: that's horrific and, um, funny.

I got stuck in a bathroom on a ship for an hour and a half, does that help? Maybe that explains my hatred of fish.

You know, in our litigious society, if that happened today, you could sue (after appearing on the _Today_ show, and, if you were lucky, "As it Happens" on the CBC). And while it would seem silly from this point, you've proven that someone can be permanently scarred by getting stuck in a ride.

Canada is not quite so litigious, but yeah, it would certainly make for a good class-action suit. It's not like Uncle Scrooge can afford good lawyers, right?

Ah, yes: Disney's lawyers. Forgot about that bit.

"As it happens" is on the local radio station (my favorite part of the night at 8 p.m.), but I've not gone searching for the CBC since my NPR habits are so ingrained.

After a few hours being trapped, we would definitely have preferred death over having to hear that stupid song even one more time.
