No, I don't think that image is everything and I don't think that clothes make the man. Sometimes those same clothes that are supposed to represent one thing can be nothing but a costume to a person that wants to use that image for his own gain.
A good example? I used to trust doctors and nurses. My aunt Lauren was a nurse and I was taught that the people in lab coats where there to help you when you were sick or were injured.
Of course, then I found out that my beloved aunt was a part of this group that was experimenting on people and had let them mess with my genes and DNA, too. If that wasn't bad enough, I discovered that these same doctors were playing god with us kids and deciding who was going to get to live and who was going to die because they thought their experiments were failures.
These people hide behind the guises and uniforms of doctors and scientists.
So no. Clothes do not make the man.
