Questionnaire #15 -- What is your most distinctive...

What is your most distinctive...

1. Physical feature?
I don't have anything much distinctive about me. Brown hair and brown eyes, just like everyone else I have ever seen, except my sister. Sage has these strange blue eyes that change so often that I sometimes think they look possessed. They have specks of gold and green in them, and seem to change with the seasons as well as her moods. But I have no such eyes, just plain and simple looks.

2. Physical mannerism?
I stand when I'm thinking about something seriously... I can't seem to sit down when serious matters are around.

3. Character trait?
I don't think it's right to ask me my own character traits... but if I had to answer this, which I suppose I do, I guess it would be my protectiveness over Sage.

4. Turn of phrase?
I'm not sure I have one...

5. Pet peeve?
I hate when Sage talks about missing our family. I miss them too, but I feel as though I haven't done enough to make her happy when she talks the way she does, and it makes everything I've done feel so worthless. But I know she never means it like that, so I bite my tongue and keep my thoughts to myself.

6. Habit?
Again, I stand up and sometimes pace a little when I'm thinking really hard about something.

Questionnaire #16 -- Wants

1. What's one place you've always wanted to go?
My father used to tell me of a land across the sea, a place full of beautiful buildings and adventures everywhere. He never told me what it was called, and for all I know he could have made it up, but I've always wanted to travel across the sea to find what lay on the other side...

2. What's one thing you've never been able to do?
I've never been able to rememeber my father's face-- I remember how tall he was, and what it looked like when he walked into the room and put me up onto his shoulders, but I can't remember his face.

3. What one thing have you always wanted to learn but never have?
I've always wanted to learn to play the fiddle.

4. What's one thing you've always wanted to do and never have?
I've always wanted to go on an adventure, like my father used to tell me about.

5. What's one thing you've always wanted to have but don't have?
I've never had friends that weren't a part of my family.

6. Who do you envy?
Envy is a waste of time.

Questionnaire #17 - Animals

1. Do you like animals?
I like them when they're useful, be it for work, for food, or for clothing. I don't understand why some people think of animals as things to be pampered and played with.

2. Which animals don't you like?
I don't like the rodents that ruin our saved food, or the birds and deer that eat our crops.

3. Do you hunt? If so, for food or pleasure?
All of our meat comes from what I hunt.

4. Do you eat meat?
Of course.

5. Which animal do you most closely identify with?
...why would I want to compare myself to a beast?

6. Which animal do you most closely identify your mate with?
Sage is far better than any animal, thank you. Animals are dumb creatures, and Sage is no such thing.

Questionnaire #18 - Superstitions

1. Are you superstitious?
No, but I do believe that one must always be sure not to displease the gods.

2. What is your most embarrassing superstition?
I have no superstitions.

3. What is your most strongly held superstition?
I have no superstitions.

4. Do you believe in the devil?
There is no "devil," because there is no ultimate evil. Every force, be it earthly or godly, has both good and evil to it.

5. Do you believe in karma?
I believe that things even out in the end.

6. Do you carry a talisman/lucky charm/etc.?
I suppose wearing my mother's wedding ring on my necklace is a sort of lucky charm, but I do it more in rememberance than for luck.

Questionnaire #19 -- Either Or

1. Country or City?
I have never been to a city, but from what I hear, I would far prefer my current country to the busy life of a city

2. Water or Alcohol?
Water; alcohol is what ruined Gregory.

3. Black or White?
Black; it makes hunting more effective.

4. Day or Night?
Day, when things can be done

5. Pain or Pleasure?
Pleasure, of course.

6. Life or Death?
What type of a question is this? Of course life.

Questionnaire #20 Fear, pain and loss

1. What are you afraid of?
I am afraid of losing Sage, and being left with no one.

2. How do you deal with your fears?
I rationalize them, and take percautions to avoid their coming.

3. Why did you cry most recently?
I haven't cried since my mother died.

4. What was the worst pain you've experienced?
Losing my father and losing my mother, both

5. What is the worst injury or illness you've experienced?
When I was nine, I developed a sickness that no one could identify, which left me in bed for over half of a year. My mother thought I would die, although she never let on; still, I heard her praying for my saving every night to the gods, begging that they spare me.

6. What do you most dread losing?
Sage.

Questionnaire #21 -- Christmas and New Year's version

1. Do you celebrate a winter solstice type holiday and if so, which one?
At the first snow, we celebrate the coming of the reign of Olto, the god of winter and rest.

2. Do you believe in Santa Claus? Kris Kringle? Hern the Hunter? The Ice Fairy? Someone else associated with the holiday?
I have never heard of any of these people.

3. Do you like giving gifts?
I like making Sage happy, and gifts make her happy, so yes.

4. What's the best gift you've ever given someone?
I can't answer this, because to do so would be being prideful.

5. Do you like getting gifts?
Of course, but I have learned not to expect them, for Sage and I rarely have enough to get by, let alone to spend on presents.

6. What's the best gift you've ever gotten?
The dagger from my father.

7. Do you mark the coming of the New Year in some way?
For us, the new year begins with the first snow and the celebration of Olto.

8. Are you making a new year's resolution? If so, what is it?
I've never heard of these resolutions.

9. Have you made resolutions in the past?
No.

10. If so, which was the most successful?

11. If so, which was the least successful?

12. If you could make a completely fresh start, would you?
Only if I could give the same opportunity to Sage.

13. If you had no choice and were making a completely fresh start and could bring one person with you, who would it be?
Sage, of course.

Questionnaire #22 -- Dreams

1. What is your favorite dream?
I don't have dreams, at least that I remember.

2. What is your worst nightmare?
I don't have nightmares when I sleep that I can remember, although sometimes I wake up distressed and confused as to where and when I am.

3. Do you dream in color?
I don't know.

4. Do you have recurring dreams? If so, what?
No.

5. How do you keep bad dreams away?
*chuckle* By not dreaming?

6. What did you dream last night?
I don't remember.
