Great fic. To be even more philosophical its kinda like high school in that him and his mates are fighting but when it ends it wont matter cos no one gives a crap... ;)

I hypothesise that once Desmond actually realises that his one remaining purpose in life is finished with, he will be left questioning his purpose in continuing to live on. The fact that extreme longevity is awarded to him through the ghoul condition will make it even worse. If he doesn’t fall into an existential crisis at any point in his life, I’d be very, very surprised.

I totally agree, he seems very driven and at the end he will be like ...wtf.

I think it would be an awesome fic to have Desmond kidnapping the vault dweller from her life in megaton to help him take down some rival of his that is building super mutant cyborgs in New York or somthing as horrific. Charon would be chasing along and be like grrrrrrrrr. Good times.
