Hi,

I'm interested and I have an idea for a character. I'm still working out his real name, but his fairy tale is the Gingerbread Man.

He was brought in because he has a natural gift for speed.

In the ten years since, he's been living a fairly normal life with his "Granny". She has a bakery and he's finished with school and went on to get a degree in culinary arts specializing in baking. He's been working for his Granny since he finished with school. He's almost forgotten about the Gingerbread House, but he's kept his love of running, competing in marathons and went to school with a track scholarship.

His abilities, when he remembers them, are for super fast speed, kind of like the Flash, but it also comes with a heightened metabolism and thus the craving for sweets.

How does that sound?

Hi there!

I think that sounds great. We've been saying since way back when we first started that it'd be awesome to have a Gingerbread Man about, and we'd love to have you. :)

I think the ten years since and the gifts fit really well, so need to change that. Do you need any additional help with backstory/name/personality/how he may have interacted with the other characters still?

Is there a need to change it or was that "no" need to change that?

Info of how he fits in with the others and may have interacted with them would be great.

A little I was thinking was that his folks were dead and his Granny had him and was approached by the GH people saying it was a special school for gifted children and she fell for it and let them take him when he was small. Then when he went back to her after it closed, he spent a good 6 years in therapy to deal with his 'delusion' that he was the Gingerbread Man, which actually had been a pet name his Granny had for him. He's been trying to put all that behind him since, but it is still there in the back of his mind and still influences him a bit.

I'm still struggling over a 'real name', so suggestions are great. I keep getting stuck on Rs and don't want to do that since he was both Ron Weasley and his real name is Rupert. ;-)

And...THANKS!

"No" need, sorry! When excitedly typing, my words tend to disappear. :P Also, just a warning for a TL;DR ahead.

Truth be told, how he fits in largely depends on you and how you want his personality to be/which of the Project members he's interacting. But the general GHPer mindset is very collectivist-- They're family and they'll take care of their own. Most are determined to make sure that everyone keeps their memories entirely intact, because forgetting means that they're lost to them and it's just wrong in the GHPers minds. There's a bit of a split personality wise between those who were given primarily offensive gifts and those who were given defensive. Offensive peeps are a bit more aggressive and a little gruffer-- our Red (redhoodedgirl and our Grumpy dontlikenobody) are the first examples to come to mind, whereas those who got more defensive ones are usually more open about their affection to the others-- one of my characters, Miller (spintosurvive) or our Briar Rose/Sleeping Beauty (never_sleepy) kind of show that. But that's a bit of a generalization-- again, his personality' ( ... )

H-howdy! I'd like to bring in the Tin Man, if that's all good. He's all adorable and is completely and utterly convinced he's made of tin and lacks a human heart. Oh, and he's what you'd call 'axe crazy'. Aaaand he's Auzzie.

Um... Yeah. I'm working on the backstory, etc, now. So... Feel free to ask questions?

Hai! :D I am so sorry for the late reply-- LJ eated the notif and then life got rather mad for a bit there.

Honestly? He's absolutely adorable, and I love the backstory/abilities/etc. that you've come up with for him. Also the fact that he's an Auzzie. We needed more of them in GHP-land. <333

From what I see, you actually look pretty set to go for starting up playing-wise. Did you have any questions for how the game's been going so far/about the game in general?

Hello! I'm Lupin and my muse here is named Sion, and his fairy tale is Saint George and the Dragon.

He was brought in when he was fairly young due to his love of knights, dragons, swords, rescuing damsels in distress, and of course, the GHP did not miss how his whole name ironically referred to the tale (Sion is the Welsh variant of "George" and Drake is Latin for "dragon"). His oldest brother may or may not have suggested him; he can totally be the dragon if someone ever takes interest in this headcanon. He was one of the more successful/easiest projects of the GHP ( ... )

No problems! If you want to cease for now, I may be altering HTML on it later anyways, so it might work to your advantage if you don't fill it out now. ;P

Hey! I'm Violet, and my character here is Lucas Cobbler, otherwise known as the soldier from The Twelve Dancing Princesses.

I've got somewhat of a backstory on his profile right now; what I'm thinking is that he was the end result of a hasty one-night stand and his teen mother chose to give him up to the GPH when he was born instead of having him as a burden. Would that be okay? Alternatively, he does have a couple of powers, so he could have been sent to a foster home first before being recruited by the GPH.

His abilities are invisibility, super stealth, and a photographic memory.

I think everything else is in his profile, so just tell me if there's anything that needs changing! :D I'm really excited for this..! ^o^

Hello hello! :D

I've read over his backstory and everything looks pretty good. I'm thinking you may want to have had him be in a foster home or two first, though, since while a lot of the kiddos were bbs when they were taken in, they weren't that much of bbs, if you know what I mean.

Also I think we may have a bit of misconception with the way the powers come about? The kids were experimented on by the researchers to give them their abilities, and then they were trained to control them, though most of them don't remember the being given them part. There's a whole sort of "science" to it that we came up with if you want to know more. ;P

Beyond that, though, things look pretty good!

Now that I finally have time to sit down and do this... I believe I've fixed everything you came up with?

BTW, sorry for that lapse with the whole powers thing, haha... >3 I get it now! ^o^

Certainly looks like it! :D And glad we got the power thing cleared up. I know it can be a bit confusing at times.

I think you should be ready to join in on ghpverse if you're feeling up to it. Please post to the Taken Characters Sheet and make sure you read the Rules.

Thanks!
