I go get my MRI on Wednesday to find out if my rotator cuff is torn and needs surgery. I'm hoping no surgery, obviously. I am also hoping that I will be able to type with both hands soon. Hunt and peck is bad enough, but is even harder with the left hand when you are right handed. My fingers work fine on my right hand but getting them in position ( Read more... )

Poor Gia.

This whole shoulder/rotator cuff thing sucks, and Wednesday can't come fast enough. Hope the kids are helping you out around the house some!

Awww hon :( That sucks. Good luck with it. They can put a shield over the tat as far I know, they can deal with it.

I loved the wedding pics btw! Your hair was simply gorgeous :)

Thanks. The wedding was wonderful!:)

Actually they didn't shield my tattoo. The radiologist said that they only usually cause a problem if they were done out of the country. Evidently the reputable places in the US don't use dyes with metals in them. Or maybe not enough so as to cause a problem.

Let me know when you find out how they shield it.

When I went for my CT scan a couple weeks ago, the info sheet says if you have a tattoo in the area being scanned, they can't do a CT or MRI, period.

That's really odd. My tattoo is right next to where I had my MRI.
Maybe the place you are going to is being overly cautious? I know that she did ask me how long I had the tattoo. She said if it was at least a year old and done in the US there wouldn't be a problem.
