[Things that have been going on]

I've agreed to try to get another paper out for a journal. But my data is kind of mucky and beyond a vague suggestion I'm not sure if I feel comfortable making any conclusions? Especially without any way to prove it since in vitro work is expensive.
I've forgotten how much I dislike writing journal papers. So. Many. References.

I've never really gotten into March Madness, although I will occasionally vote on things that people on my flist link me to.

Yeah, I've never been too much into it as other people in the comments are, but it's still fun and enjoyable in a lurker, fringe style manner of observation :D Especially the comments and just watching the drama that invariably unfolds

I just had a quick look at the polls and I'm happy that Britta seems to be winning in the Community poll at the moment. ♥ (although I wouldn't mind Abed either) And yay for Martha Jones and Jo Harvelle leading in their polls!

Yeppppp, it's already on in full force even for the prelims and before the actual voting has commenced itself XD Yeah, as it stands, I'm not actually unhappy with any of the ones who've been leading thus far since imho, they're all pretty good candidates. But then again, I'm apparently not a 'true fan' for the fact that I'm totally fine with a number of characters winning.

LOL omg have you seen the Martha wank that was going on there! Some people are still stuck in their perception of her character and HOW DARE YOU LIKE HER WRONG?? You'd think season 3 aired yesterday. We've been over this fandom!! Calm down! ugh

since Sansa seems to get a more negative opinion in fandom, I'll root for Sansa

It's not that Sansa herself has more negative opinion in fandom, it's that her fans were kind of obnoxious in stanning for her last year. And since this is FMM and nothing is ever forgotten or forgiven, people hold a grudge. XD This is the reason why even after 4 years, Dean Winchester is still very much hated with a passion. *pets him*

OMG YES IT IS RIDICULOUS and I actually just stopped reading some of it when I realized how awful it had gotten. Like, I don't get why there's people so fixated on the fact that TEN IS EVIL AND AWFUL (which kind of paints Martha more as a victim which is fine but the way some people harp on it makes it seem like that's the only dimension they see) and urgh. Fandom never forgets anything, ever.

Hahaha, that would explain it. I feel like fandom in general has gotten a lot more vitriolic (or just loud) in the recent years even off events like FMM, but that may just be because of how the internet's changed or that I'm more aware of fandom at large. Or just tumblr.
