Who'd have thought I'd make a Torchwood tag?

I've been waking up with these weird, constant headaches for the past few days now. It's kind of annoying, mostly cause I don't know what the cause is.

Anyhow, finally got around to watching Torchwood Miracle Day 3 and 4, with help from anna_sg1 .

1. Is it just more or does it seem that Oswald Danes seems be more and more at the center of...well, whatever miracle day seems to be moving to? I mean this by the fact that he seems to be taking up the role of a media idol and everything, he's the spokesperson for the drug companies and well, PhiCorp is now backing him and what have you.

2. I'm a little confused as to what PhiCorp's aim with all of this is- it seems like a hugely elaborate way to make a very large profit, since I'm assuming that keeping everyone immortal is going to be become a bit of a problem.

3. Jack John Barrowman looks fine when he's not under super bright lights. Yep, face of Boe, still looking good. Also, 'you like the coat? passionately' just became a pickup line somewhere.

4. Oh hey, we're seeing as to how religious groups and organizations are reacting to this whole affair. I suppose it is a sort of logical conclusion that having everyone become immortal would lead to the idea that humans are now soulless, since without the idea of death, a lot of religions are at a standstill since so many of them are based around answering the idea of what comes after. Though, they'd probably make Jack their iconic Jesus/Savior figure if they knew about his mortality. Saint Jack?

5. Jack being faced with mortality is an odd thing to consider, I suppose.

6. Esther is really not too suited to this whole covert affairs. There seems to be an amount of tension between her and Rex the Career Goal Centered Heartless Man.

7. It's bigger on the inside!

8. Jilly, oh Jilly. Jilly in red, specifically. She's always wearing red, what's with that? It stands out too much. I'm convinced she's a robot who has perfect, and exact timing. Seriously. Right place, right time.

9. I like how they've touched up on the ideas of forgiveness to both Jack and Oswald, considering how different their situations were.

And onto episode 4.

1. Esther, you have a crazy sister. I get that part. But still, did you really not think they'd be watching her house or something or another? Just...maybe? I'm sorry, but her not thinking through that situation was just kind of...bad.

2. The 'dead is dead' movement is...kind of a weird response to Miracle Day. I guess it makes sense it would emerge from the Tea Party (see show I see what you're doing there) as a sort of radical movement calling for segregation when everyone's panicking. Though, Umbridge's fate at the end was...a wee bit horrifying. Immortality isn't all what it's cut out to be.

3. It seems they're really overdoing the gay thing with Jack, as opposed to his omnisexual thing. Just a thought.

4. Oh hey so that scene between Oswald and Jilly? We learn that Jilly is not a robot and is in fact, very much human like everyone else and dislikes Oswald despite her overtures. I kind of wish that scene could've gone on a bit longer, because they are people who you wouldn't expect them to be. Also, am I the only one who thinks that she's not wearing her red coat but instead a white dress in that scene something significant?

5. Wohoo background devolopment on characters! We find out why Rex is in fact, such a goal oriented sort of person.

6. That giant publicity stunt with Oswald and the baby? Yeah.

7. Gwen's American accent cracks me up to no end. Just saying.

8. And then the cryptic hitman who seems to know a lot for a hitman spills...some beans. So are the Triangle people the ones above PhiCorp, or just a different organization entirely? The only reason why I'm asking this is because the hitman couldn't get to the server which was owned by PhiCorp, which seems like something that they'd provide him with if they owned PhiCorp. But PhiCorp clearly knew what was going on?

9. So Jack gave some people something, a very long time ago. Then something how Miracle Day wasn't the real miracle, and how a new society is to be forged? Something about specific geography (what on earth does that even mean) and...the families will rise? The families as in, Family of Blood?
