Why you should never go to the gas station bathrooms

Fringe, you continue to make me very confused and puzzled.

Poor Peter, being cautious and the whole Do Not Want! to Olivia after the last debacle with Altlivia. It's understandable as to why he would feel that way, though, given everything. Which is a weird contrast with Olivia, who's all earnest and more than willing, whereas Peter is progressively more and more freaked out. Till he comes around and Olivia has to go to the bathroom to be kidnapped.

This show never gives us a simple, shippy moment.

But I'm curious as to how this memory overwrite works- does this mean that they're actually in the same universe, while Olivia is just picking up memories from Peter? Or why Olivia seems to be the one most directly affected in the new timeline? Because if it is just a memory overwrite, doesn't that mean that the events in the new timeline still should have happened as they were, without altering to the pre-Amber timeline? Does that mean Olivia still killed her stepfather, but doesn't remember it?

Also, I can I just say that Astrid's conversation with Sean was just amazing? Or just a little bit reflective of how Astrid herself might feel, upon seeing Alt!Astrid.

Also, can I just say that Anna Torv is awesome at acting and totally changes her mannerisms with the memory overwrite?

Also, Lincoln's back!

So wait wait WAIT. Nina isn't Nina? Does that mean that she's a shapeshifter, or her counterpart in the Redverse? But that does explain the injections of Cortexiphan and stopping the date with Lincoln. Also, did Nina not lose her arm in this timeline?

ALSO ALSO ALSO THE PROMO FOR NEXT WEEK Fjowkfwfkwfjewogjwefgkwef OBSERVERS DAVID ROBERT JONES THE LIGHT TEST but but what does it all mean?
