So this episode was bunch of good things and bad things. I feel like that's about as good as most of the episodes with Moffat get- either bad, really really bad, or good and bad.
I would've imagined that Amy would've said something about River?
Yeah, I expected some mention of River there, but 'out of sight, out of mind' basically seemed to be how last year's series treated River, so it seems they're following that. Considering she is in this series' trailer, you'd expect them to acknowledge her existence, though.
Re: Riddell, to me it depends on how much the issue is addressed. With Riddell it wasn't too much, apart from Amy's couple of comments, so they sort of started on the right track but missed the mark. I like Rupert Graves, so I was really pleased to see him in DW, but you're right about the character being fairly pointless. It kind of reminds me a bit of the 2009 specials, with the random character(s) who were the 'companions' for the episode, but then we never saw again. I just didn't enjoy those in general, so reminders are a bit bleh.
And yeah, pretty much everyone's wondering why Brian wasn't at the wedding.
It felt particularly strange, since she's supposed to be...I don't know, Moffat's ultimate companion who knows the Doctor's name and is married and everything? And then they...don't ever reference it? It just gives me the impression that Moffat doesn't actually care about the whole point of the marriage, which...defeats the entire purpose of S6?
1. River seems to be only important when the plot of that particular episode call for it. -.-
2. UGH as for Riddell, he was the actual worst. I know we were supposed to see him and Nefertiti as flirting but that whole scene just left me uncomfortable.
~they bred firecrackers in your day~ Oh, just GTFO

River/Every other character it feels like most of the time, ngl.
I know we were supposed to see him and Nefertiti as flirting but that whole scene just left me uncomfortable.IKR. Like, I'm not really sure how Misogynistic and Vaguely Intensely Creepy comment met by Threat of Physical Violence followed by More Misogyny...is flirting? Or maybe we're both socially inept and out of touch, so therefore we just don't get this flirting

I only realized we were supposed to read that as flirting in the last scene with Nefertiti exiting the tent, implying they already probably had sex or something. :/
Now I remembered that post on Tumblr - that awkward moment when the Tardis leaves and she starts speaking ancient egyptian. XD LOLLL
I hate this not-knowing what actually haeppened and what didn't. I mean, I know canon in Doctor who is loose at best but this is really ridiculous.
Time Lord Victorious only actually ever meant something because...well. He got called out for it (though for Ten, the universe called him on that. Or technically Adelaide did).Yeas. And even before Adelaide called him up on it, we were never meant to see anything Ten did there as ~a good thing~. The text heavily said that this was in fact a horrible thing and Ten will pay for it - and he did, with Adelaide. And even in End Of Time, we still see the remnants of what happened in WoM eating him

Ridiculous is a nice way of saying it XD It is really troubling that we can't actually be sure of the fact that four years of events actually may not have happened, though. Since that kind of makes the whole point of the 4 years kind of...null?
The way it was presented felt like it assumed that the audience would accept it as a very karmic justice type of thing, and that in the world of black and white morality, Eleven's choice of basically killing Solomon was just as for what Solomon had did to the Silurians.
But it's incredibly troubling that Eleven basically executed someone, and like you said, that they expected us to feel satisfied with it. IDK, that's not very much like the Doctor as we've seen previously. I mean, if the war haunted Nine could find it in himself to show compassion to a Dalek, a Dalek, and Eleven just killed someone and hopped off to have more adventures, what's that to say?

Beyond horrible, lazy and inconsistent writing.
