Oooh, I really thought that was excellent. Great song choice, and I loved the editing--the snappy cuts in the beginning, the smashing of the gold thing and the memorable guitar blares(?), 1, 2, 3 in the middle-end particularly stood out. It was also obvious that you looked for shots with strong motion and that really served the vid well.

I like the darker undertones of the song and the vid--I've seen a lot of light and fluffy WC vids and it was nice to see a grittier one.

I like how New York = Neal but also served as a larger metaphor for how good law enforcement makes a better place (theoretically) with Peter coming in and fixing Neal a bit and then together they fight crime!

Thank you! The song was definitely one that provided a lot of ... guidance? ... for playing around with editing, so I tried to match it - I'm glad it worked for you! And of course, considering how much the show itself loves NY, I couldn't resist the song for this fandom.

This vid is great, and right after I watched it a friend emailed to say she'd just seen the actors filming up by the Flatiron, so today I'm all NYC+White Collar=OTP!

super hot vid. the musicality of it is brilliant, and i love how it really crests -- visually, musically, and emotionally -- with the "what new york used to be" repetitions near the end.

fave moment, Neil turning and yelling in time with the WHAT of "what new york used to be."

Thank you so much! The reason I loved this song was precisely because of that musical crest at the end - the way New York is the punchline and culmination of what came before - I'm so glad you felt that the vid was able to match it!
