That was disturbing in the best possible way. It's a perfect song, and I like how you convey, especially in the last quarter of the vid, the intense ugliness of what the Dollhouse does.

Musical theater is incredibly powerful, 'tis true :-). And yeah, exactly - the show kind of acknowledges on one hand, and then goes off an exploits once lip-service has been paid; I'm really happy it came through for you!

This SONG. What a completely perfect song choice. I've never seen a production with this song, and I never knew anything about it.

Costumes from the East. String quartet. Drums and a band. Moonlight. All the clips of Topher are especially great, as the creepy conductor.

I'm so disturbed. You are brilliant.

Oh, you know the show, but you've never seen a production with this song? Now I feel quite old :-).

And, I'm very glad to have disturbed you - thank you!

I simply love how this has been put together, especially the last third - when the pace picks up and the force of the editing kicks in, all culminating in that final, fantastic shot of Topher and the brain scan. Great work!

Um, wow, subtle like a shovel to the head (not meant as criticism, a shovel to the head is an appropriate reaction to that show's issues, IMO) but that song! I wonder about the substituted lyrics (I saw your comment about "snatch", *facepalm*) because wow.

Yeah, the song is pretty wow - although the "snatch" story isn't mine, it's rachelmanija's, and I can't help but be a little ... charmed ... that the monks didn't know the word.

The substituted lyrics version changes "rape" to "raid" in some places, and rewrites various lines to use the word "abduction," like "an abduction that's emphatic, an abduction that's polite," etc.
