Coronation

I had a great time at Coronation. We brought an old college friend to her first event. I don't expect that she'll join the SCA, but I think she had a good time, and she might come to future events with us. I was thrilled to see so many people I know and like at the event. He said that he was sorry if he upset anyone in the process of changing the law (not an exact quote, but the general gist of it). It was a bit awkward for it to happen in a formal court, but he seemed sincere. I wasn't all that worked up about the sumptuary law thing - personal rule about not raising my blood pressure over anything that does not affect the real world - but I get more out of the SCA if I don't feel the urge to roll my eyes when I see HisRM, which was my internal reaction to the whole debacle. I think most people have our favorite sets of royalty, and C&P are the bees' knees as TRM, so I'm looking forward to making it to more events in the next 6 months.
