Seeking advice

Calling all agony aunts/artists..

I have been offered an artistic job/commission, that I sincerely believe to be beyond my capabilities,

Do I acccept, and work myself into an early grave to do it?
Decline it- and tell them why*..
Decline it- and lie?

*Since I will have to let them know in person, I will have to give some explanation.

Aw thanks for the offer of help- unfortunately its a council mural stuck in south london! I wa just really intimidated by the size of the damn thing-I've never ventured above A3 before!- and such a tight deadline... but thank you!

Never tackled something on such a large scale, and the type of paints they're suggesting- its all a bit weird really, not sure where my name sprung up. (Must be the lure of cheap labour!!)

I'd go with your first option and accept the job. I figure if they offered, they must believe you can deliver. :)

Thank you for your such kind words, wigglynoodle. I've taken your advice & accepted, I've probably been very silly about the whle thing to be honest. The job is not till another 2 weeks, so I'll have to wait and see if it was the right decision, but thank you for your encouragment :)
