Last weekend I attended the International Conference on the Fantastic in the Arts (ICFA) in sunny Orlando, Florida, aka The Happiest Place on Earth. Ten years ago, I met barbmg, bondgwendabond, and colonelrowe at ICFA. So it was a good anniversary and a great time. Academics, writers, critics, and fellow travelers from all over the world get together to read, talk, argue, drink

Satyrs NEVER get enough air time. And when you smell like a giant goat, trust me, you need air time. Or airing. Or something.

If you can't enjoy a raccoon playing Yakety Sax on the harmonica...well, you have no business writing. Unless it's instruction manuals.

The theme for next year's conference is "The Fantastic Monstrous," so maybe Andy will bring a raccoon that plays "Yakety Sax" on harmonica, except the raccoon will be the size of a two-story building. Dare to dream.
