Kobe beef was one (as was the non-grape fruit wine) where I didn't have a clear memory of consuming any, although it's certainly possible I've had it. But yeah, next year in Madison, I will make a point of trying it. And actually, now that I am typing up here, I realize--duh--that I have had non-grape fruit wine, because I've had plum wine.

There is a world of difference between the average funnel cake and a good beignet. I'm just saying. (And I think most funnel cakes are average.)

Oh, I agree completely. Funnel cakes are the things that burn your mouth, get your hand greasy, and get powdered sugar on your shirt. Beignets are tasty treats you have with chicory coffee.

Have you tried balut? Given your globehopping background, I'm guessing you might've. I think I'd try at least one bite. Note: this does not mean I am auditioning for any reality TV shows.

I got at least a 95 percent on that one.

Since you're over thirty, you've probably had horse as an ingredient in a blended oil something was deep fried in at some point in your life. And pretty much anybody whose had "french fries" on the European mainland has probably has had pure quill horse fat. The farther east, the more likely.

I've heard of food banks that take roadkill venison.

I've had roadkill racoon.

I'd almost guarantee you've had carp if you've ever had any commercially prepared seafood product.

You haven't had head cheese? Really?

Mostly, I can't believe you haven't had bagna cauda. Oh man, you gotta get you some of that. A good crusty bread dipped into a sauce made out of anchovies, garlic, butter, and olive oil. Oh, man, I want some right now!

Snake tastes kinda like squirrel. Hey, how come squirrel ain't on this list?

I was just going to reply to Richard to say "Bagna cauda? Really?"

But apparently you beat me to it.

I'm with him on the roadkill thing though.

It's a big world.

I will stop by the Italian market and see if they have a large flask of bagna cauda, though. And perhaps I will wash it down with nettle tea.

Man, I just looked again. You haven't had curried goat?!?

I'm almost jealous of you that you still get to have that for the first time.

PS I bet Wilton makes a mean bagna cauda!

Some of the stuff I didn't mark, I've probably had once or twice but it just wasn't memorable. Cuz I'm not the foodie that you are.

As far as carp or horse go, I was reading the quiz as "have you had a big steaming hunk of carp or horse?"
