You are absolutely killing this Yuletide and I LOVE this story! "The person who was making his house a home..."
Jeez there are so many amazing lines in this fic. It is a short exercise in perfect feels. I love that the feelings, so simply stated, are yet absolutely thorough.
The letter from Jackson! This one brought me to tears. It was already beautiful, buf when I got to the "you don't have anything to worry about..." part, gawd. A father's love, and that affection for Tony, the knowing looks we saw in Heartland, oh sigh. (Don't you just wonder how the show that was capable of that, and of the few other instances of real stuff between the principal characters, could turn around and abandon it? Aagh!)
Anyway, crap, what Gibbs did was perfect. (I loved him realizing: only three likelies, only one possible. ) I could just imagine what Tony felt when he got there. "Guess you heard me." That slays, as did the fact that he'd been making those declarations for years. Indeed. This is the very heart of Tibbs. Thank you!

Thank you so very much! Apparently my boys have me feeling the season! Tony and Gibbs are so intune with one another but blind to what is really there. They already take care of one another. And Jack would most definitely give a push, he sees far more than most!

So glad that you enjoyed it! <3

I love this so much! I love how Tony secretly took care of Gibbs and in the end Gibbs ended up turning the tables on him. The love they share just oozes from their actions and what a Christmas present they ended up with--each other! Perfect!! Merry Christmas, Maggie!!

Thank you! Tony always strikes me as someone who would go out of his way to make sure those he cares about were ok regardless of whether they knew it or not. Jack helped them get what they deserved for Christmas! Merry Christmas my friend!

That was great, sweet, emotional, gratifying. I'm glad you brought Jackson into the story as you did. Well done.

Thank you so very much! Jackson needed a part in their life! And he would have certainly helped them get there.

Thank you! I am so glad you enjoyed it. Jack would have pushed the boys if he had ever had a chance!

You're really unstoppable this yuletide, and as difficult as it is to choose a favorite because they're all amazing, this one has to be mine. I love how Tony has managed to take care of Gibbs in secret, how he has managed to turn the house back into a home right under Gibbs' nose. His realization and process of elimination that it can only be Tony was so true. Jackson's letter? So so so lovely. It shows his big heart, his wise mind and a father's absolute knowledge of his son. Brilliant. I might have shed a tear or two. And Gibbs answer? Damn. Brilliant. So, so lovely ( ... )

I don't believe that a thank you is enough here. This is really a remarkable and beautiful compliment and so very thoughtful. Not only am I thrilled that you loved the story and could 'feel' it ( which is always my goal) but you have touched me deeply with your words ( ... )
