Gang, are you somewhere in the size 14-18 size range, like A-line/empire-waisted/tea-length dresses, and don't want to spend money to acquire new ones? Because I want to give away four of them--I need to empty my closet a little, I have worn all of these dresses just often enough to be bored of them (but not often enough that they show any wear), ( Read more... )

I imagine you'd just say the "no shit" without the Sherlock. Of course, it doesn't have quite the same ring.

Not the same ring--it's missing that classic element of mild disdain that you get with no shit, Sherlock. *grins* But hey, still mostly works!

Oh man, these are LOVELY dresses! I wish I were the right size for them; I would snag that last one in a HOT SECOND!

I get more head-hurty when I try to stop and think about the other cultural effects of Sherlock Holmes, so I try not to.

I looooove that polka-dot dress. It breaks my heart a little to give it up! But at the same time: done wearing it, will find something equally quirky and flirty and classic some day. And if not, well, we'll always have that time at Jacque's, little polka-dot dress! *grins*

Right? Whenever I think about what fictional detective I'd use in place of Sherlock--ie, Nancy Drew, my other favorite, aside from Jessica Fletcher *G*--I'm like, well. But would there BE other genius detectives, anymore? It's a mystery! ...one only a genius detective could solve. BLAST. FOILED AGAIN.

Yes, claimed. :( But that polka-dot dress IS super loveable and if you ever see something like it, I recommend snagging it--you won't regret it!

Wow, I'm absolutely in love with that first dress, with the flowers. If you haven't found a home for it, I'd be happy to pay you for it! hammerhead22 at gmail

Oh man, unfortunately claimed. :( It's a GREAT dress--I'm pretty sure I got that one at the Dress Barn. What a terribly named store. I used to refuse to go in because a plus-sized lady shopping at a BARN? FORGET IT. However, 3/4 of my best dresses have come from there.

...they should pay me for all the talking them up I do. *grins*

No worries, bb! It is a gorgeous dress:) I fear dresses and actually haven't worn one in years outside of the Red Dress Party or other costuming events. I do know that Dress Barn is an awesome place to shop and I think we even have an outlet store nearby. I'm just going to have to get over myself and get some girly clothes one of these days!

If any of them aren't spoken for, the teenager would be tickled to have them.

Oh boo, claimed--which is a shame, because three of them are SO teenager-friendly, I think. Quirky and fun and comfortable. If I dig a little deeper in my closet cleanout and come up with anything similar, I'll keep you in mind!
