I thought this was great! Hooray for Vila learning to trust himself in a crisis. And the weapon in the wound - ouch! I winced! Poor Avon - how I love him to suffer.
*is mean*

There's a all typo here: '"Serves you right for getting mixed up with the feds, he?"

I think you want Vila to be making a sound like "Eh?" or "Heh?" - both don't commonly heard in speech to mean 'Don't you?' or 'isn't it?' - but 'he' reads as the pronoun, and is therfore a little confusing.

Hope this helps you xxx

Thanks for the advice!
Are you interested in beta reading for me once in a while?

Of course! I'd only feel confident doing B7 stuff, though. I'll send you my email address.

And if I ever get a bit snowed under at Uni and find I can't, you can put out a call on b7fic. I did that for my first story (an A/C) and people were LOVELY.

Thanks...and don't worry. I'm usually a slow writer with periods of no writing at all. But sometimes it's just nice to be able to ask someone about a word or phrase you're unsure about.
Today for instance. I was sure that when I was young (which is a very long time ago) I learned that the verb tenses for leap were: leap - lept - lept. The spell check didn't accept this of course and I went out on the internet where I found the proper spelling, but was told it was pronounced as 'lept'.
Well, there you have it. You English fanfic writers are so lucky: being able to write in the language you grew up with! I envy you.
Thanks for wanting to beta! I won't pester you all the time, I promise!
